This committee is made up of several sub-committees that focus on projects to serve our community. Garden Therapy works with area seniors and nursing home residents, providing baskets, greens and flowers and helping them put together arrangements for their rooms. The Library Group maintains two seasonally planted urns in front of the building and also a plant or arrangement in the circulation lobby. They also coordinate the planting and care of several small plots at Noyes Park.

The Finance Committee prepares the annual budget and submits it to the Executive Board for approval. It makes recommendations to the Board on financial matters and accepts applications for member scholarships for presentation to the Board. The Chair keeps track of the Club's bank account, pays for program expenses and presents a monthly report of account balances to the board and the entire membership. In an emergency the Commmittee acts on financial matters between regular Board meetings.

The committee organizes club members to provide centerpieces at the monthly meetings. Committee members are responsible for arrangements at club sponsored luncheons and other events. Also, they conduct a program and workshops over the club year demonstrating the art of floral design.

The Horticulture Committee is responsible for conducting workshops and seminars on all phases of plant care, cultivation and maintenance, as well as organizing field trips to specialty nurseries, public gardens and other places of horticultural interest. The committee also coordinates the spring Plant Sale.

The Hospitality Committee recruits/coordinates members to provide baked goods and/or fruit snacks and beverages for the monthly club meetings. It also arranges for a members-only luncheon in October, provides  refreshments for the Arrangements and Wreath Sale in December and arranges the Annual Luncheon in May.

The Membership Committee recruits prospective members and explains the workings of the Club. It provides name tags, records attendance and collects guest donations at monthly meetings. Further, the committee maintains club archives, attendance and committee assignment information for each member. 
Newsletter

Jane Brand
The Newsletter editors are responsible for the preparation and distribution of newsletters during the Club's active months, September to June. Newsletters typically contain updates or reminders about upcoming events, welcome and contact information for new members, updates on current members and photo-enhanced articles of interest to all club members.

The Nominating Committee prepares and administers an annual questionnaire to determine each member's desired committee assignment for the next year as well as a slate of Officers and Committee Chairs to be voted on at the Annual Meeting in May.

The Program Committee plans and arranges the Club's monthly programs for the entire season, subject to approval by the Board. These programs should include outside speakers, club member presenters and the annual Tri-Club meeting in March with the other two garden clubs in Needham.

Publicity
Chair: Gail Davis
The Publicity Committee works with the local newspapers and media to make the Needham community aware of club activities and educational programs offered at general meetings.
Social Media

The Social Media Committee maintains the club's Website and Facebook pages which enable us to keep our information as up-to-date as possible. The committee also collects and displays photographs from members and publishes items of interest that are worthwhile for the club and the community to appreciate. The website is a publicity viewed companion to the club newsletter. 
Yearbook
Chair: Trish Cruickshank
Cathie Cummings
In creating the Yearbook the committee is responsible for compiling, editing, processing and printing all the club's calendar and member contact information currently available. They also distribute the yearbook to all club members and to the Metrowest District Director and the GCFM.

The Ways and Means Committee coordinates fundraisers for the Needham Garden Club. The primary event is a wreath and arrangement sale in December at which both Active and Associate Members are asked to a assist in the creative workshop (see November and December's schedule).
