How many times has the allure of those massive buckets of flowers in the local grocery store beckoned to you? And once you get them home you look at them and say, "Now what?" At which point you take out your vase and plop the flowers in lamenting that you wished you knew how to really arrange them properly. A very vital part of the Needham Garden Club is the flower arranging committee. The beautiful arrangements you see at monthly meetings are organized through this group and the arrangements you see at luncheons are done by them as well. Thoughout the year this group of ladies run classes on flower arranging with very knowledgable speakers at the helm. In addition to learning a great deal for future flower arranging endeavors one gets to bring home a beautiful arrangement done with her own two hands. In 2015 the Flower Arranging committee formed a group who participated in the Mass. Horticultural Society's Festival of Trees fundraiser where they designed and decorated a Christmas tree with a Lego theme. The resulting creation was a huge success!
Festival of Trees
This was the first year the Needham Garden Club participated in the Elm Bank Holiday Tree decorating event. Our Lego tree was a huge hit.
The results of some very interesting and informative workshops are these beautiful arrangements.
The flower arranging committee hosts the annual club mixer every October. This is where members form groups and design themed arrangements.
